Eco Actions Partner Program

The Ask

The Home Depot sought to establish a structured program within its Eco Actions initiative to recognize and support suppliers demonstrating exceptional sustainability achievements through their products and practices. The goal was to create a platform for honoring these partners while amplifying their sustainability efforts, ultimately reinforcing The Home Depot’s commitment to eco-conscious initiatives. As part of this program, selected partners would receive high-visibility recognition and marketing support to promote their sustainability leadership further.

The Work

To bring this vision to life, a comprehensive partner program was developed, incorporating:

  • A formal selection process to identify and honor sustainability-driven suppliers
  • The production of high-quality partner videos showcasing each supplier’s sustainability efforts
  • The creation of an announcement email to the Eco Actions community, introducing and celebrating each new partner
  • Dedicated partner content, which is prominently featured on the Eco Actions website, to ensure visibility among sustainability-conscious consumers
  • A partner logo lockup that partners can use internally and externally across their marketing efforts

The Results

Since the program’s launch in 2023, 12 partners have been selected, with more to come. The initiative has delivered significant benefits, including:

  • Website Reach & Content Engagement – A 30% year-over-year increase in website traffic for 2024, with expected growth
  • Digital Promotion – Targeted Google Ads campaigns, ensuring partner content reaches a broader audience beyond organic site visitors
  • Marketing & Brand Amplification Custom videos and feature articles empower partners to enhance their sustainability messaging across their marketing channels.
  • Recognition & Trust – The Eco Actions Partner logo is a mark of sustainability leadership, enhancing brand recognition and building consumer trust. By featuring the logo on packaging, in-store displays and digital assets, partners reinforce their commitment to sustainable practices and strengthen their credibility in the marketplace.
  • Stronger Relationship with The Home Depot Deeper engagement with The Home Depot’s sustainability teams and increased brand alignment within the retailer’s ecosystem
