Expanding an Established Brand

The nation’s most widely read Hispanic magazine, Constru-Guía al día, began as a free publication targeted at the Hispanic contractor and construction professional. When the magazine launched, Constru-Guía al día approached Porchlight to help with marketing. Since that time, the magazine has grown and expanded considerably. In 2011, the Publisher contacted Porchlight to oversee the expansion of the brand as he moved towards other media outlets such as radio and online.

After working with the brand for over four years, Porchlight knew that any new identity would have to build upon the existing brand, which had developed significant equity. Treating Constru-Guía al día as the primary brand, Porchlight developed a flexible system to reflect the expanding media presence of the brand.

As Constru-Guía al día expanded their presence from print to include online and radio outlets, Porchlight saw the opportunity to take their website to a new level, building a centralized hub for bringing all of their resources together. The simple design reiterates the three-pronged approach of Constru-Guía al día while remaining focused on the Constru-Guía al día audience. Built using a CMS platform, the website allows for easy updates, ensuring that all resources can be refreshed quickly and efficiently.
